The project was a collaborative project with E3 Cube which involved a kitchen extension and external area expansion at Brine Leas Secondary School in Nantwich, Cheshire. This included the installation of new kitchen equipment and an improved layout to enhance efficiency and the addition of seating areas, shaded zones, and improved landscaping in outdoor areas to create more space for students to relax and socialise during breaks and lunchtime. The goal was to enhance the school’s facilities to better accommodate the needs of students and staff.
The primary challenge was the very tight timescale as the work had to be completed within the 6-week holiday period. This required meticulous planning, additional working hours, and efficient coordination to ensure that the project did not disrupt the school’s operations. Close collaboration with E3 Cube and the school’s commercial kitchen installer was also crucial to ensure the new kitchen facilities were installed correctly and met all necessary standards.
The project was successfully completed within the 6-week summer holiday period and has significantly improved the school’s facilities. School staff have expressed their appreciation with the new kitchen facilities, which have greatly improved the efficiency of meal preparation and service. The expanded external areas have enhanced students’ overall school experience. The staff also commended the construction team for their professionalism and ability to work within the tight time frame. The project stands as a testament to our ability to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines. Brine Leas has future plans for further improvements, which Midas will be happy to support.
