Renovations and maintenance work to Springfield school.
The main challenge (as always in this environment) was to ensure minimal, and at times, zero, disruption to the day-to-day operation of the school, whilst ensuring that we could deliver a facility fit for children, parents and staff in the 21st Century. We were also ever mindful of the need to complete projects during school holidays and the necessity of accommodating such requests at a moment’s notice. The critical success factor, as ever, was communication. By maintaining close links with the client at all times, we were able to avoid surprises and head-off any setbacks before they became problems that could jeopardise the deadline or quality of the work.
Darren Humphries from Cheshire East Council (site manager of Springfield School) has worked with many construction companies in his career.
